4th Sunday in Lent

Lord God,

For love so deep, so broad, so high we give you thanks.

Asking that when we meet fear we might respond with courage.
That when we face judgment we might respond with mercy.
That when we run up against cruelty we might respond with gentleness.
That when we encounter resistance we might discover resolve.
And that when we find ourselves alone and in the dark we would welcome into our hearts and lives the Light of the world and give ourselves over to the care of the faithful.

For love so deep, so broad, so high we give you thanks, Lord God. May we ever endeavor to share this love with all of your children.
