A Story for Tomorrow
I’m not sure just what captured my attention so much about this video. But I think it’s that it didn’t just capture my attention, but my heart and imagination as well. There is something about the videography and narration that is simultaneously, winsome, playful, and hopeful. At the end, I felt both the openness and urgency of the future and wanted, again, to give myself to the things I love. We all have things we need to do, have to do, must do…But life is found and shared in the things we love to do.
If you’ve got 5 minutes, watch this film by the good folks at Gnarly Bay Productions and be, I hope, inspired to make your story a good one.
My thanks to the incomparable Maria Popova at Brain Pickings for pointing me to this film.
What an awesome video, David ~ thank you! My reaction was the same as yours. AND, I was left somehow with restlessness, yet a deep sense of peace mixed with gratitude ~ gratitude for this amazing world of beauty and adventure that God has so freely and generously spread before us. A veritable banquet of light and movement and color. Makes me want to deeply breathe it all in! Thanks for sharing, and thanks to Maria Popova for lifting it up!
“Restlessness” is a great word, Sandy, and names a part of my experience of the film as well. I just wanted to do something, to be a part of this world and life, to make it a good story. Thanks for sharing.
