I saw a friend recently to catch up…on family, work, mutual friends, and the like. Leadership is about the future. It’s that simple…and that difficult. Max DePree began his influential and elegant little book, Leadership Is an Art, by saying that “The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality” (11).
